Every film is a collaboration—a tapestry of talent, heart, and hard work. Those Who Stay is no exception. This team has poured countless hours into building a story that captures the resilience, strength, and quiet beauty of the immigrant experience.

The Cast
At the center of it all is Julia Wyrzuc, who not only steps into the role of Zuza—a young Polish immigrant navigating life in New Jersey in the early 1990s—but also brings the script to life as writer and executive producer. Her passion for sharing this story comes through in every scene.
Bringing warmth and complexity to the role of Alicja, Małgorzata Ostrowska-Królikowska infuses every moment with authenticity.
The story of Those Who Stay is rooted in Agnieszka Wyrzuc's journey, and we couldn’t have made this film without her. Not only does she oversee wardrobe and step into the role of Lidia, but her life experiences are the backbone of the narrative we’re telling. Her heart and courage are at the core of this project.
With humor and quiet depth, Marcel Parysek makes Marek a friend everyone needs—someone who can make you laugh and also challenge you to see things differently.
Ted Lacki brings grit and complexity to Tadek, capturing the rough edges and humanity of a character who’s not always easy to love but impossible to ignore.
Karen Goldfarb breathes humanity into Sarah, grounding the story with honesty and resilience.
Casey Alexandra adds a memorable touch as the Waitress, a small but impactful role that brings texture to the world of the film.
Anya Debek steps in as a house cleaner who works with Zuza, sharing both the struggles and camaraderie of immigrant life.
Kasia Dymek, assistant to Małgorzata, joins the cast with a cameo as another house cleaner and partygoer, adding an authentic spark to the film’s community feel.
The Crew
Guiding the vision of the film is Tony Carpinelli (Co-EP/Director), whose steady hand and deep respect for the story’s roots shape every frame.

Nic Zivic and Tristan Thompson (Grips) keep things moving behind the scenes, problem-solving and supporting the crew in countless ways.
Sound is in the hands of Gaston Martinez, whose ear for detail makes every word and breath resonate.
Behind the scenes, Briana Sista captures the heart of the production with photos that show the laughter, hard work, and passion that bring this film to life.
Danny Krastek (Production Design) builds the world of the film, grounding every detail in authenticity.
Production Assistants Christina Adams, Sophia Volger, Arianni Unigarro, and Tony Tershe keep every detail on track with dedication and heart.
Valentina Rojas (Craft Services) keeps the team fueled and smiling with every meal.
Melanie Facal (Makeup) ensures each character looks as real and compelling on screen as they feel in the script.
Special Thanks
No story would be complete without music, and Richard, our amazing accordion player, brings warmth and authenticity to our fabulous party.
And a special mention to Jan Królikowski, whose music is already laying the emotional foundation for every moment we’ll see on screen.
We also owe so much to the many extras who gave their time and energy to bring this world to life. Every face in the background makes the film richer, more real, and more human.
