Those Who Stay - Pitch Video
Those Who Stay is a love letter to the ones who start over — not in pursuit of glory, but in search of something as fragile and vital as belonging.
This film honors the strength it takes to stay somewhere that doesn’t feel like home, and the small, quiet victories that come with surviving the in-between. Told through a Polish-American lens, it uplifts stories that are too often overlooked — stories of women, of immigrants, of silence and perseverance.
We’re making this film with care, urgency, and community at the center.
Set in the Polish immigrant communities in New Jersey, Those Who Stay follows Zuza as she navigates survival, language barriers, emotional estrangement, and fleeting moments of connection. The story explores what happens when the promise of a better life comes at a cost — and what staying means when leaving isn’t an option.
